**Teaching Experience:** I have completed a Bachelor of Health and Physical Education at the University of Wollongong NSW and have 5 years experience in Teaching Personal Development Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) Physical Activities and Sports Studies (PASS), Sports Lifestyle and Recreation (SLR), Community and Family Studies (CAFS) and Exploring Early Childhood/ Child Studies in NSW schools. I have recently relocated to Perth WA. My teaching in these areas is influenced by my own passion for supporting students’ personal and physical development by creating strong connections and positive learning environments. I am confident and effective in secondary years 7-12. I am an accomplished and highly ambitious senior Community and Family Studies teacher (NSW). I support students in building on their content knowledge by using a range of teaching strategies including probing questions, explicit teaching and structured lessons. I support students in maintaining a strong HSC writing structure and provide detailed, relevant examples in their responses. I have undertaken professional learning, and collaborated with senior colleagues to gather strategies to support students. I effectively implemented high leverage teaching strategies which involved students individually identifying their mistakes, marking themselves against the set criteria and rewriting responses to meet their own learning needs and feedback. This successfully improves student confidence, understanding and ability to effectively apply the HSC content to exam style questions.
